Brothers and Sisters,
The success of the labor movement is deeply connected to the movement for racial justice. And at Local 537, we’re committed to ensuring that everyone has a chance to build our region’s future.
In honor of Juneteenth, the day that marks the end of slavery in the United States, the Boston Building Trades will be coming together to remember the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others as we strive for a more fair and just world.
At 8:46 AM tomorrow, Local 537 members, along with our Brothers and Sisters, will be standing down at all union construction sites with a moment of silence for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. I encourage you to join.
