Substance Use Disorder and Recovery Symposium

Brothers and Sisters,

Local 537 is proud to host a Substance Use Disorder and Recovery Symposium on Wednesday, September 20, at the Pipefitters Training Center. This event, which includes a continental breakfast and a light lunch, will feature workshops, conversations, and training sessions to help combat substance use disorder and build wellness.

About 15% of all construction workers in the United States have a substance abuse disorder compared to 8.6% of the general population of adults, according to data from the National Survey on Drug Use conducted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration.

The symposium will include the Labor Guild, members of the labor-management community, and others. No information on attendees will be shared, and participant information will remain confidential and safe.
