Our training center is proud to offer a number of classes for journeymen and women to stay up-to-date with the latest technology in our industry. Don’t miss out – registration closes on Friday, December 22. Here are the classes and trainings we offer:
  • Welding: All aspects of welding (SMAW (ARC), GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG)) are available under the direction of our welding instructors. Classes will be offered on Mondays (beginning January 8) or Thursdays (beginning January 11) and are from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sign-up is mandatory.
  • Medical Gas Installer: 32-hour training to test for a Medical Gas Installer license. The course will consist of 12 nights (consecutive Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.) beginning on Tuesday, January 9.
  • Rivet Core (CAD): Introduction to Automation, Collaboration, and Machine Learning of AutoCAD Software class will run Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday, January 9 through Thursday, April 11 (14 weeks).
  • Foreman Training: Earn a UA certification in foreman training. The class will run Tuesday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday, January 9 through Tuesday, April 9 (14 weeks).
  • OSHA 30: Obtain your OSHA 30 certification. Classes will meet on Monday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday, January 8 through Monday, March 25. This is for 10 consecutive weeks (excluding MLK Day and President’s Day). Attendance is mandatory for all 10 classes, so you will qualify for the 30-hour certification.
  • Rigging: This is a basic rigging prerequisite course that will prepare journeymen and journeywomen for taking an advanced EPRI rigging course in the future. Classes are limited in size. Signups are available for Monday classes (beginning January 8) or Thursday classes (beginning January 11), evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be 4 consecutive weeks of classes. Additional sessions may be added if there is interest.
  • Trimble Robotic Total Station: This entry-level course is for Journeymen and Journeywomen who have limited or no previous exposure to RTS and would like to learn the fundamentals and operation of RTS equipment. This course will be (3) 3-hour sessions, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Thursday evenings, February 8, 15, and 22. Shop attire is required. Additional sessions may be added if there is interest.
  • Viega Pro Press/Mega Press Installer Certification: This course is a (1) 3-hour session (5 p.m.– 8 p.m.) on Thursday evening, February 29. It is designed for those who install press fittings and have contractors requiring credentials as certified factory-trained installers. Shop attire is required. Additional sessions may be added if there is interest.
  • Journeyman Pipefitter/Refrigeration Technician Licenses: If anyone has an expired Journeyman license, please contact the Training Center for assistance retaking your state exam.
