Welding – All aspects of Welding (SMAW (ARC); GTAW (TIG) &GMAW (MIG) available under the direction of our Welding Instructors. Classes will be offered Mondays (beginning 1/6/25) or Thursdays (beginning 1/9/24) and are from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sign up is mandatory.
Orbital Welding – Orbital Welding will be offered on Tuesdays (beginning January 7th) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Class size is limited to 6. Sign up is mandatory.
Rivet Core (CAD) – Introduction to automation, collaboration, and machine-learning of AutoCad software. Class will run Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Tuesday, January 7th through Thursday, April 17th (15 weeks).
A2L Low GWP Refrigerant Safety- The HVAC Industry is transitioning to Low GWP Refrigerants including R-32, R-454B, and equipment that runs on them. Technicians need to know the codes and standards for safe handling, storage and transportation of these mildly flammable refrigerants (A2L). This course includes training, a manual and an ESCO test for certification. The course will consist of (2) consecutive Saturdays – dates to be determined.
OSHA 30 – Obtain your OSHA 30 certification. Classes will meet Monday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday, January 6th through Monday, March 24th. This is for 10 consecutive weeks (excluding MLK Day and President’s Day). Attendance is mandatory for all 10 classes so you will qualify for the 30-hour certification.
VRF Mitsubishi – A 3-day Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) – The CITY MULTI Service Course (Mitsubishi) – will be offered. This course is an introduction to variable refrigerant flow systems applied in the HVACR industry of ductless/multi-split split systems. This course has been designed to provide the knowledge and tools required to demonstrate and explain how best to work on VRF systems. A laptop and personal protective equipment are required. Dates will be March 11th – March13th, 2025. Seating will be limited to (15) spots.
VFD Fundamentals and Commissioning – In this course, students will identify and review variable frequency drive (VFD) operation and components. A hands-on lab will allow students to check, test, and complete factory startups on various manufacturers (Honeywell) of VFDs. Dates to be determined.
Journeyman Pipefitter / Refrigeration Technician Licenses – If anyone has an expired journeyman license, please contact the Training Center for assistance in re-taking your state exam.
