It’s National Women in Construction Week, and we’re committed to making sure everyone gets a chance to build our region.

That’s why we proudly partner with contractors like E.M. Duggan, who are leading the way for inclusion in the industry.

The Boston Business Journal recently featured an interview with E.M. Duggan Office Manager Kim Gilson, whose father was a Local 537 HVAC-R Technician at York International.

In encouraging other women to enter the trades, she said, “If you want to be boots on the ground, go to vocational school, then go to college for that specific thing you want to do or join the union. The opportunities that you have are unlimited within the industry.”
