Brothers & Sisters

As you may have heard, the rate of COVID-19 cases is quickly rising across the Commonwealth. Yesterday’s statewide announcement on increased restrictions, including a doubling down on the statewide face-covering mandate and instituting a stay-at-home advisory, is a troubling but clear sign that we all must remain vigilant. Please note that the City of Boston reflects the Commonwealth’s policies, and has the option to adopt additional restrictions as well.In order to prioritize the health and safety of you and your family, and follow statewide guidance to reduce indoor gatherings to a maximum of 10 people, we are canceling our union meeting this month, slated for this Thursday, November 5.

We recognize that this is disappointing news to many of you. However, we are taking every step possible to curb the spread of infection and stay in compliance with state and local guidelines.

Access to the Union Hall, Trust Fund Offices, and Training Center will continue to be curtailed. This is due to restrictions on the number of people permitted inside the building each day.

If you have a concern or question of any sort, please reach out to one of the full-time Officers. And please remember to vote today, November 3.

Stay well and be safe.

In Solidarity,
