Brothers & Sisters,
Following the Thanksgiving holiday, COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the region. Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine have all recently announced increased restrictions, including a doubling down on face-covering mandate and stricter travel guidance.
Please note that the City of Boston reflects the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ policies, and has the option to adopt additional restrictions.
In order to prioritize the health and safety of you and your family, and follow statewide guidance to reduce indoor gatherings to a maximum of 10 people, we are canceling our monthly union meeting, originally scheduled for Thursday, December 3.
We recognize this is disappointing news to many of you. However, we are taking every step possible to curb the spread of infection and stay in compliance with state and local guidelines.
Access to the Union Hall, Trust Fund Offices, and Training Center will continue to be curtailed. This is due to restrictions on the number of people permitted inside the building each day.
We encourage you to limit the celebration of the holiday season with your immediate family. Although this may be different from years past, the best way to protect yourself and keep others safe is to keep gatherings very small.
If you have a concern or question of any sort, please reach out to one of the full-time Officers.
Stay well and be safe.
In Solidarity,
Tom Kerr
