Brothers and Sisters,

The Pipefitters Local Union 537 is very proud to share this remarkable profile story by Nemasket Week of our own Allison Bates-Scearbo, a recent graduate of our nationally-recognized Apprenticeship Program.

For Allison, who lives in Lakeville, joining the apprenticeship program was a chance for a promising new beginning, after spending several years having and caring for her young children. While in the program, students received extensive training, allowing them to master everything from basic approaches to the latest cutting-edge tools and technology, producing the next generation of journeyman and journeywoman pipefitters, welders, and HVAC technicians.

“I’m able to provide for my kids, with one income if necessary,” Allison said in the story, describing how she and her family’s lives changed since she graduated.

Congratulations Allison! We’re proud of you, and look forward to seeing you on the job site for years to come! Please take a moment to read the news story here.

In solidarity,

Daniel T. O’Brien
